About

As Director of Belle Property Retail Brisbane, Nick Kelly is an established commercial leader with an impressive portfolio of retail development, leasing and management. Alongside Michael Hanscomb and Paula Kelly, Nick launched Belle Property Retail Brisbane with the goal of bringing Australia’s leading retail-focussed boutique agency to the Queensland market.

Nick begun his career with a 12-month cadetship at CB Richard Ellis, before going on to work for the likes of Jones Lang La Salle, Charter Hall, Stockland, Vicinity Centres and QIC. Nick has held a variety of roles that have seen him transition from a Retail Analyst to Senior Leasing Executive, to his current role as Director of Belle Property Retail Brisbane. Recognised in the industry as a high-performing real estate professional, Nick has been awarded Leasing Executive of the Year more than six times.

With an ever-growing portfolio, Nick has been involved in an array of projects. Most notably, one of Australia’s leading Super Regional Shopping Centres, Castle Towers in Sydney’s Hills District. Nick was a key member of Castle Towers’ project leasing team, responsible for planning the delivery of a projected 160,000sqm of retail floor area, which is the second largest shopping centre in Australia. Nick also successfully curated and delivered Castle Tower’s world-class casual dining and entertainment precinct consisting of 14 new restaurants and two large format entertainment operators.

Over the years, Nick has also been responsible for three regional shopping centres; Stockland Green Hills, Stockland Glendale and Stockland Jesmond in the Hunter Valley. Nick successfully proposed and delivered a strategic leasing campaign that brought in Aldi Supermarket, comprehensive health services and external dining precincts, driving a significant increase in the valuation to Stockland Jesmond. Nick was involved in the retail development planning for Stockland Green Hills’s project prior to commencement. He also delivered a strategic leasing campaign that introduced H&M to Stockland Townsville while realigning the retail configuration to again deliver an increase to the valuation on completion.

Other projects of note include two flagship CBD Shopping Centres, QueensPlaza and Brisbane Myer Centre. Nick transitioned into a higher quality asset class completing several transactions with international luxury and premium brands. Nick was also involved in the retail planning for the redevelopment of Brisbane Myer Centre and assisted with Blair Group’s Underwood Marketplace in Brisbane’s south.
